The prestigious Moortidevi award is literature award, which is given by the Bharatiya Jnanpith. On 16th December 2017 the famous Bengali Poet Joy Goswami was selected by the bharatiya jnanpith for the 31st moortidevi award in 2017. He is the first Bengali writer to receive this honor. This award was given to him for his poem collection ‘Du Dondo Phowara Matro’.

Chitra Mudgal has received her nobel “Nalasopara Post Box No. 203″ has been selected for the award. It is well known that Ramesh Kuntal Megh, the well-known Hindi writer, was selected for the Hindi Sahitya Akademi Award for the year 2017 for his Hindi book ‘”Vishw Mithak Sarit Sagar”.

Sahitya Akademi has announced its prestigious annual awards on December 05, 2018. Akademi has selected writers of Chitra Mudgal in Hindi, Anis Salim in English, Rahman Abbas in Urdu, Ramakant Shukla in Sanskrit and Mohanjeet in Punjabi, among 24 Indian languages this year for the Sahitya Akademi Award. This time seven collections of poems, six novels, six story collections, three critiques and two essay collections have been selected for the prestigious award. All winners will be given a one lakh rupees, a citation and a symbol of the award. These awards will be given on January 29 in the capital New Delhi.

Mexican model and volunteer Vanessa Ponce de Leon was crowned Miss World 2018 title. She was crowned as the 68th Miss World by last year’s winner, Manushi Chhillar, in the coastal city of Sanya. Thailand’s Nikolay Pishapa was selected as the first runner-up. Vanessa Ponce de Leon is the first Mexican woman to win the Miss World title. India’s Anukreethy Vas had participated in this competition, but she could not make her place in Top 12. A total of 118 participants participated in the 68th edition of the Miss World 2018 International Beauty Contest held in Sanya city of China on December 08, 2018.

Winners List of Maha Veer Chakra Award:-

The Maha Veer Chakra (MVC) established on 26th January, 1950 is the second highest Indian military decoration and is awarded for acts of extraordinary gallantry and bravery in war on land, at sea or in the air. The medal is circular and is made of standard silver. Embossed on the obverse is a five pointed heraldic star with circular centre-piece bearing the gilded State emblem in the centre. The words “Maha Vir Chakra” are embossed in Devanagari and English on the reverse with two lotus flowers in the middle.

The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India’s highest award in Indian cinema industry. It is given annually by the Government of India for lifetime contribution to Indian cinema, to a prominent personality from the Indian film industry for significant contributions to Indian cinema. The Ashok Chakra:

The Ashok Chakra, posthumously awarded to Gaur commando Jyoti Prakash Nurala of Indian Air Force. This is the greatest military honor given at the time of peace. Nirala had killed 03 terrorists alone in an encounter with the terrorists in November 2017 in the Haigen area of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kirti Chakra:

Major Vijayant Bisht was announced to give Honor of the Kirti Chakra. Major Vijayant Bisht got information about the infiltration of militants in Uri district of Jammu and Kashmir on June 06, 2017, after which they reached to confrontation with them with his team. Major Bisht saved the lives of a rifle man injured by a bullet and shot a terrorist during a long encounter. Major Bisht is being awarded the Kirti Chakra for his adventures.

Shaurya Chakra:

• Armed force a total of nine warriors of the Army were honored with Shaurya Chakra. The names of the heroes like Major Akhil Raj RV, Capt Rohit Shukla, Captain Abhinav Shukla, Capt Pradip Sharya Arya, Havaldar Mubarik Ali, Havildar Rabindra Thapa, Nayak Narendra Singh, Lance Naik Badher Hussain and Paratrooper Manchu.
• Air Force Karporel Devendra Mehta, Air Force Medal Wing Commander Anshul Saxena, Scordron Leader Rajiv Chauhan and Scordron Leader Kamal Sharma were named.
• In Paramilitary Force two CRPF cobra commandos Vikas Jakhar and Riaz Alam Ansari were announced to be awarded with Shaurya Chakra.
